I agree with Philip on this, it really isn’t answering the original question and seeing as I probably can’t make the April meeting, leaves me still in the dark.

Yes Fleur, it’s part of a restoration project at the Molonglo River Reserve called the Barrer Hill BGW restoration.
I’ve arranged for the Ph D student involved, Darren Le Roux of the ANU’s Fenner School, to come and tell us about his project at the 12 April COG meeting.
But that is not an answer, nor does it clarify that it specifically about those boxes. It is about
the Barrer Hill BGW restoration,
whatever that is. Although it may indicate that this person doesn’t want to give a quick answer on this forum and may wish to explain it in context. Which is fine too.

Ditto! My original comment about the logs was somewhat rather tongue in cheek but I still don’t think
that the ACT Government is really all that interested in conservation locally. There are however some excellent rangers in ACT P and C as we are all aware.

Yes but hopefully with one exception, if and when someone who actually knows the real answer to the
original benign question about the nest boxes could tell us. I would be interested to know.

Greetings all. May I suggest that John's comments here are a suitable place to end this discussion?
I think that the issues have been thoroughly canvassed, and thank all contributors for remaining polite and respectful of other list members in the process.
Let's return to our more usual topics.
Thank you - David
