Michael and helpers have done a great job clearing up after the storm - tracks now cleared of fallen trees.
highlights of a long stroll this morning (car was in for a service nearby):
-in front of Bittern hide - a spotless crake dodging around grey teal who had already decided it was too hot to move around
-5 Lathams snipe - mostly not moving around, so almsot invisible
-parents feeding 3 small Australian Grebe youngsters;
and elsewhere
-7 Lathams snipe at the other end of Kellys
-Royal Spoonbill - I saw it land in willows to left of Tadorna hide - it had also just flown over Steve H's head
full list will go on ebird
