Thanks Michael.  I think it would be very sensible to declare a ban.

There is a high chance of a Total Fire Ban being declared for surrounding areas of ACT and therefore one in ACT. Not confirmed but very likely.

In the recent past I have not been able to access the fire danger map for the next day until well after 5pm which makes it a tad difficult to confirm (or otherwise) if the walk is going ahead.

Today is forecast for 37 with very high fire danger, and tomorrow is forecast for (depending on which forecasts you believe) 33 to 36, with winds in the high 20kph range and no chance of rain.  I would expect NSW RFS at least to be thinking about a ban for the areas to the West of the ACT.  So I urge you to check the fire danger map this evening and before setting out tomorrow.

The outing will be cancelled if a total fire ban is declared in the ACT and/or the NSW Districts which adjoin the ACT.
