Thanks John - I appreciate these reports during the breeding season for the purpose of monitoring nesting activity of this threatened species. Don Fletcher
is conducting a long-term project to the same end – so happy for reports to go to him instead or as well. Any nest records will end up in the same place.
Years ago (maybe 20) there was an LE nest in the top of a tall Yellow Box in the main Newline paddock, but long gone now. The Newline area is well within the
foraging range of the current Campbell Park pair, so I’d be inclined to attribute a sighting of a pale morph accordingly, at this time of year.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Little Eagle sighting
(Sorry, I forgot to write down who was collecting the obs).
On an otherwise quiet walk up the New Line Quarry Lane nr the Airport I saw a Little Eagle heading west being severely harassed by swallows!
Also, higher up, a WTE, and in the paddock itself an antsy Brown Goshawk (so presumably it has a nest in there).
