It appears to be carrying a fine twig in its beak.  Nest building?

Hi Julie,

Most definitely a Little Friarbird and an adult at that – there is no yellow on the throat that indicates a juvenile.

Cheers,

Hi All,

Someone has suggested that my Little Friarbird may actually be a juvenile Noisy Friarbird. (Certainly not the first time I would have been wrong!)

I was confident in my ID, but now am not sure. A second photo is attached.

Confirmation either way would be appreciated.

Cheers

Julie
