With thunder and rain clouds at 5.30am on Sunday when I got up, it did not seem promising, but I had a couple of good hours of blitzing in north Gooroo before the wind got up.  Best records there Brush Cuckoo and Red-capped Robin.  Mulligans on Sat morning provided around the average total species for a blitz morning (75), with Jacky Winter a highlight, a number of breeding records (Varied Sittella, Scarlet Robin, Grey Currawong among them) and a Royal Spoonbill on the large dam (otherwise few waterbirds there).  Trillers were noticeably absent, and it took a while to locate 2 pairs of Dusky Woodswallows in Mulligans.  Superb Parrot numbers seem down this year, only 1 record for the blitz (but I did not survey southern Gooroo where they have been recorded in low numbers in other surveys recently).

Cheers

Jenny
