Some of you may have noticed (or probably haven't noticed) that recently, 3 new protocols have popped up on the ebird Australia submission page, under the other catergory:
  • Birdlife Australia 20min-2ha Survey
  • Birdlife Australia 500m radius search
  • Birdlife Australia 5km radius search
I am not sure what this means, but it is an interesting development especially considering BA's recently revamped Birdata portal (which still seems really confusing), and probably of interest to some COG members.
I note the following link does mention something about the transfer of ebird data, and this may better facilitate that. No recent announcements on this on BA or ebird that I can find relating to this though. http://birdlife.org.au/projects/atlas-and-birdata/faq
