That is great news and even more remarkable is the fact that it was caught so close to where it was caught last. This could suggest that these birds have site fidelity.

Very exciting news!!!

One of the Latham’s Snipe fitted with a geo-locator in Port Fairy late last year has been recaptured! Data recovered has enabled a map to be created of the full migration cycle.
