When we stayed at Lake Burrendong last year, the were groups of Apostlebirds around the cabin. If we walked straight at them, they would sort of run a few metres away when we got to about 2m, otherwise, they would just be happy to forage for food
around the verandah, just metres from us. They weren't expecting anything like food from us, it was more like they were just going about their foraging as though we didn't exist.
