Satin Bowerbirds

On Tuesday I had my first fully blue male for the year, in my garden, chasing a female in one of my plum trees. Unfortunately my previous neighbour’s jungle garden which had housed a bower for several years is now all bare ground. But I suspect another bower near the local park.

A very active bower was found this morning in Corroboree Park Ainslie.  A fully plumed male was seen chasing a female close to the well decorated bower.
