Hi All,

I took this photo at Burrum Heads, QLD last week and thought at the time that it was an olive-backed oriole.

On looking at it more carefully when I got home I now think it may be a female/juvenile figbird. The skin around the eye and general colouring don't look right for the oriole. I've never seen a female figbird before...

Many thanks

PS

Thanks to those who sent me advice on places to visit on the trip north. Those I visited, including Flat Rock at Ballina, Cattai Wetlands, Sea Acres etc were all well worth the visit ....just a pity we couldn't have spent much longer at each one!

Cheers
Julie
