The aggressive plovers are now parents to 4 young born over the past 2 days. Tonight they were out and about in the rain. I hope they last longer
than the young from last year-about 3 weeks for the first breeding event and about 2 weeks for the second.

Last year in the same area, a pair had a nest on a townhouse nature strip opposite the Sea Scout Hall. When the young hatched, the parents even challenged passing cars, posturing
in the road with wings outstretched. Very ambitiously assertive.
Quite likely the same pair.
