In mid 2003 when I worked on Tennant street Fyshwick, there were often many.
Some may recall following the bushfire, we had lots of them in Canberra. I
had them flying over my house on that night on 18 January. The biggest count
I got was from that Fyshwick site I think about 500 within probably 3 to 5
hectares. That was based on seeing multiple flocks of 50 to 100 YTBC flying
into the trees and having about that small proportion of change on those
already there. As big flocks comprising part of this mass passed more or
less over the office and paddocks between tennant st and the airport I think
I recorded 350 as the number for the GBS that I was doing for the site that
year.

I observe small flocks from time to time over the inner south: on Wednesday
for example, 5 flying over Woden northwards around 4.45pm.

Often also down nr Scrivener Dam.

A few weeks ago in the early morning I saw a single YTBC flying over Curtin
shops to the south east quite fast and calling querulously. I guess it got
left behind.
