Plenty of birds around (40 species seen) at McQuoids today.  Of note - a group of 4 male golden whistlers chasing each other through fairly thick scrub, pausing only occasionally. Flying at times just above the ground - ignored me completely - and twice wings brushed me as they flew around me. Stood in one spot for about 10 mins watching them. Mixed flock in that same spot, but the whistlers weren't feeding...
Two rainbow lorikeets seen - haven't seen them in this reserve in the past.
As I crossed the first paddock to the exit on Kambah Pool Rd, a flock of 35 red wattlebirds flew from the reserve to the golf course.
