Two birds seen today along Spring Creek Trail in Yanununbeyan State
Conservation Area not far past the intersection with Woolcara Trail. The
coordinates are 35 34' 20" S, 149 22' 01" E.
The birds were in a scrubby gully. One bird showed well when I made squeaking
sounds. The other stayed hidden but was picked up by its call.
Unless I'm mistaken this could be a new location for this species in the COG
area of interest.
Also seen, two separate flocks of Diamond Firetails, one numbering around a
dozen, along Woolcara Lane.
Cheers
Marnix
