Well I would hesitate, or more likely, not, try to ID from Robin’s photo. I agree with Geoffrey’s ID on his photos. But it often depends on how sure our reference base is which show that the break in bars is not quite right. An important thing to remember is that almost all field guides give profile views. The SB-C in Geoffrey’s photos if shown in field guide style profile views would not (or hardly perceptible) show a gap in the bars on the belly.

I disagree I’m afraid.  The general appearance is of a shining and there is no rufous in the tail.  Without going into what the books say, my experience is that shinings often have the barring broken to some degree. (2 right-hand phots are of the same bird)

Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo.

The mnemonic I use for these two is:
   H = Horsfield's = half bars
   S = Shining = Solid bars
