Hi

yesterday I had for the very first time a (juvenile) Golden Whistler in my driveway.

Must be their time to go out in the world. I also saw one in Goulburn on Friday. It had caught an Arhodia lasiocamparia caterpillar and kept bashing it on a branch. It eventually realised the meal was too big (about 8cm long) and dropped it - that's how I could ID it.

Friday night I heard a Boobook close-ish by. (Not unusual, though rare)

Today I saw two Yellow-face Honeyeaters at Dickson Wetlands. Had not seen them there before.
