Former COG President Peter Roberts rang me this evening to say that he had a close up view of a Beach Thick-knee at Merimbula Lake this afternoon, just outside the Marine Rescue HQ. Apparently this is only the fourth or fifth sighting in the area in the last 20 years according to local records keeper Barbara Jones
