I am assuming that you saw such a nomenclature for
Anas gracilis in the linked list to my message about today's outing. If so there are various explanations that I can see for this.
Since what I see is "Grey Teal" I suspect option 3 is the anser (sorry, answer) which is good as there are two solutions.
