An adult Common Starling. “There was a second one,” that would be a juvenile. Funny to get a question about identifying starlings. That is not a comment on Anne but on that the species is nowhere near as common as it was.

Hi,

 

I spotted this bird out at Strathnairn on Saturday.  There was a second one, probably the partner, as it was plain brown, but by the time I changed camera lenses, it had flown away.
