Forwarded message re wedgies breeding last season on McQuoid Hill. Forgive
me if this has already been noted or discussed; I haven't heard of this pair
before. If anyone is interested in following up I suggest contacting Ian
directly. I didn't include the photos, at his request.

Subject: Breeding Wedge tail eagle
Hi
I was speaking to a Parks and Conservation ranger today who suggested I
contact your organisation in case no one else had advised you about a wedge
tail eagle pair who bred prior to Christmas on McQuoid Hill in Kambah.
I first discovered the nest in late September and saw the single chick in
mid October. The chick left the nest in early to mid December. A fellow
resident in Gleneagles Estate who has a good camera took the photos below.
(I have not asked her permission to use the photos so if you do want them
for my public purpose please let me know so I can put you in touch with
her.)
The adult pair continue to use McQuoid Hill and surrounding areas. The nest
is still there but is not as in good repair as when the chick was occupying
it.
Apologies for the email but the reporting form did not really allow me to
provide the above information. I am happy to provide further details if
required. I can be contacted on 0400402014.
Hope the information is useful.
Ian Robinson
