My GP swears blind he saw a Barking Owl near his home in Deakin a couple of 
years ago.  He is not a birdo but he is intelligent, got a good view and 
consulted a good field guide.

I have always been a bit sceptical, but when he has a scalpel in his hand, you 
can bet that I believe every word he says!!

I have just seen a Barking Owl on the (new insulated) power lines behind our 
house in O'Connor.  Like all respectable birds it departed southwards into 
Turner after glaring at me for about a minute.
