Last week two local Koels got going about 8.30am squawking at each other (a
male and a female, I think - a domestic dispute), when a few Noisy Miners from
further down the hill (western end of Deakin) flew up and entered the melée.
Together they set up quite a racket, chasing each other in and out of our E.
melliodora and Cedar Wattle, caterwauling all the time. I got the strong
impression the Noisy Miners did not like the Koels!
