Try Liopholis whitii

With all the name changes you almost need to buy a latest edition Wilson and swan every year

I assume it keeps the publishers in business

I doubt that any biology book has an index that lists by species scientific name. Any that I have seen are listed by genus, then species name. Probably I can give the analogy of phone books not listing by Christian names. And for sort of the same reason. Genus names are required to be unique to that genus. Species names are often shared. Beyond that comment yes of course changes to names causes these confusions.

What do you mean by check the index properly? Go through every Latin name till I find the specific whitii? not my definition of a useful index.

Whilst wandering around Honeysuckle Creek Campground this morning I saw this handsome lizard.

Ross Bennett's Frogs and Reptiles of the ACT tells me that this is a White's Skink, Egernia whitii. Can anybody tell me why there is no Egernia whitii, or anything that looks like it, in Wilson and Swan's Complete Reptiles of Australia?
