Early on Saturday morning 17 January 2016 I was staying at the Riverside Caravan Park on the Wimmera River on the south edge of Horsham township in western Victoria.
Musk and Rainbow Lorikeets were feeding on the flowering riverside eucalypts and flocks of mostly Long-billed and Little Corellas were noisily evident.
I was also pleased to hear Bush Stone Curlews calling briefly as part of the early morning dawn chorus.
