My "go-to" place for them is the main carpark at the AIS. Has only failed me once in past couple of years. Get out of car and listen. This morning they were calling from over near the apartment blocks, but flock of 5 flew into the AIS carpark within about 2 minutes. Then another 2 joined them. A further 2 up near the child care centre
Early morning is best, and many of the big eucs are hard hit by the lerps etc that have damaged lots of trees, but it's still best place I know for them

Have had an enquiry from an interstate birder in town next week - especially interested in superb parrots and Gang-gangs. I checked out the Hughes gang-gangs this morning - 8 seen in the trees between Jensen St and Hughes Primary. Checked that there were still superbs at the AIS - saw 9 birds there. So all this info passed on to the enquirer, as well as the email about the Mt Rogers superbs. Any other  very reliable spots?
