Further to the recent comments of Geoffrey and Philip, another example of Dotterel /Plover problem - this time the same bird!

Had the pleasure recently to film them in their breeding grounds in NZ, where they are 'Banded Dotterels'.  Their Maori name 'Pohowera' is very descriptive - means 'burnt chest'.  In this plumage they are much brighter than the birds usually seen on our coast here when some migrate here for winter.

Whatever you like to call them, enjoy the film https://vimeo.com/147159044  I am very pleased with it.

David
