Well it certainly appears entirely consistent with a PO, just on pattern. Given the location, no reason why it wouldn’t be. It is not from a Tawny Frogmouth
or anything else I could think likely. The pattern is too obviously barred to be from a Boobook. To be an owl feather it should feel fluffy (ie. soft to touch, unlike e.g. hawk or falcon feathers, that feel stiff and probably less wide than this one). It even
looks fluffy on this photo. It looks like a tail feather or left secondary. Photos like that asking the question should always include a ruler or something on which to assess scale. Size would rule in or out a Boobook.............

Called in at Turner to check on the Powl but could only find a calling card. Can I assume this feather is one belonging to the Owl? It was lying under the nearest tree in the next
row from the favourite Pinoak where it seems to hang out above the exit road.
