The pair of peregrines at Red Rocks Gorge have successfully raised three chicks again this year. The three youngsters are taking short flights around the cliff - flying beautifully but the landings need some work!
Expeditions to see them over past 3 months have also yielded breeding records for magpies, magpie larks, grey butcherbirds, tawny frogmouths, red wattlebirds, black-faced cuckoo-shrikes. The welcome swallows are no doubt breeding at the Gorge too, but not possible to see them at nests.  The single frogmouth chick along the track has not yet fledged.
