The call carries a long way. They are sufficiently common in our area, maybe you missed seeing today, you won’t have any troubles seeing them.

In Belconnen near the Jamison Centre.

 

Initially thought it sounded like a Black-faced Cuckoo-Shrike but wasn't right so spun up Peter & Ederic's CD and it was definitely an Oriole, which I haven't seen one of yet.

 

Sadly I didn't get outside with my binos quickly enough.
