I was there for nearly an hour from about 2:30 today. I approached from
Verran Place. After strolling along the grassed area for a while I saw the
R-b K perched on the power line just over the creek. It flew down into the
grass to catch something then flew over the creek to perch in the big elm?
oak? about 3 metres over me. It stayed for about a minute then flew back
over the creek into one of the small willows where I couldn't find it again.
I crossed the creek (upstream from the 2 shopping trolleys - the place could
do with a clean up day). Strolling along there and then accompanied by a
Chris from Jerrabomberra, we eventually saw the bird again on the power line
where it was easy viewing, before flying back into the small willow........
It did not call at all. Its colouring is rather brown and a bit dirty
looking compared to book pictures.

I'm sitting under the power lines waiting for a close-up shot!
