This image was taken in Garrad Reserve, Narrawallee, on the South Coast. The habitat was coastal swamp. Note engorged tick, and also what may be the impact of blood on the forehead. As if that was not enough, the bird was one of a group zizzing a snake. regards Con Attachment:
