This bird was tearing grubs, I presume, from old decaying logs on the ground, close to and north of the water reservoir.

I was surprised to see it was so pale in colour.

It would be good if this had been a young bird raised in the reserve?

 

Also – heard today (8/9) apparently calling from McQuoids Hill – one Pallid Cuckoo.  Also  over Murrumbidgee Golf Course – 1 Brown Gosshawk.
