I thought I heard one in Deakin this afternoon, but I also thought "too early".

Some other observations around my home of recent days:

·       A Hobby Falcon harassed by a currawong and a magpie.  I have seen a Hobby in the vicinity a couple of times over the past two or three years.  Don't know if there is a nest nearby somewhere.

·       A Gang-gang under hot pursuit by a Crimson Rosella.  Went on for some minutes - every time the GG took to the air, the CR was on its tail.

·       Our nesting Brown Thornbills are back this year.  They are aggressive to intruders of the species in their nesting environment, but all the intruders seem to reside in the wing mirrors of my and Adele's cars.  So we have to clean off the droppings every morning.  Our irritation is offset by the beautiful song he delivers as he soils the cars.

Flew over my house in Florey this morning. A little early perhaps?

John
