I have no idea what is going on out here, but we are having an astonishing range of less usual species reported.  So far this month I have either seen or had reliable reports of:
  • Blue-billed Duck - 2 briefly yesterday and not yet relocated
  • Pink-eared Duck - 87 yesterday
  • White-necked Heron
  • Nankeen Night-Heron 1 this morning
  • Banded Lapwings - up to 11, with 9 last Saturday
  • Superb Parrot - 1 female in the last week
  • Chestnut-rumped Heathwren - up to 3 birds in Cuumbeun
  • White-fronted Chat
  • Pink Robin
