The bodly patterned Pink-eared Duck often attracts interest among casual watchers and it is now a Canberra regukar although not appearing in the huge numbers one can find elsewhere. Perhaps the best local spot for occasional large numbers is the Quean beyean outflow pondage.  Yesterday Kelly Swamp offered a flock of 14 among sparse pickings from a waterfowl viewpoint
