A Yellow-tufted Honeyeater. This species is one of many that are declining over large areas of their normal habitat in south-eastern Australia. Growing up in the O’Connor area during the 1960’s it was a regular, in small numbers, visitor to my parents garden, generally in winter.

Observed just below the Red Hill Restaurant on Wednesday afternoon, facing the Brindabellas. Any suggestions for an ID?

Kind regards and blessings, Roy.
