9.50am to 12.20pm – Northern fence line to the small dam near the left side of the track.

Superb Fairy Wrens stayed hidden until approx. 11.30 after the thaw of puddles on the track had started.  Prior to this hardy Striated Thornbills with Wee Bills and small feeding flocks consisting of some exciting birds. There was inreased activity of all birds after 11am approx. – otherwise generally fairly quiet.

. Minimum 4 Scarlet Robin (these are very visible)

. 5 Double-barred Finch

. 4 Grey Shrike Thrush

. 1 Speckled Warbler

. 8 Red-browed Finch

.  1 Brown Thornbill

. 15 Striated Thornbill

. 8 Weebill

. 1 White-faced Heron

. 1 White-eared Honeyater

. 1 White-browed Scrubwren

. 1 Australian Kestrel

. 9 Buff-rumped Thornbill

. 10 Yellow-rumped Thornbill

. 8 Red-rumped Parrot

. 1 White-winged Chough

. Superb Fairy Wren 15

. 1 Tawny Frogmouth

. 1 Grey Butcherbird

. 27 Sulphur-crested Cockatoo

. 1 Laughing Kookaburra

. 17 Straw—necked Ibis

Crimson Rosella, Galah, Pied Currawong, Crested Pigeon, 3 Common Starling

 

1 Red Fox, 1 rampant Red-blue Heeler chasing lots of roos, several other dogs off leash – some owners in good control of their dogs.

 

Intrusive flyover of jet and troop carrier planes.

A pleasing outing
