Philip's message led me to check the names of the current crop of RAAF toys-for-boys. They have Wedgetails, Herons and Hawks but sadly no Harriers.

I did not realise the start of a new GBS year today was so significant. At 10: a.m. today I noticed a noisy flock of four large grey birds flying several circuits in close formation over Tuggeranong and probably elsewhere.

Turns out to be unconnected to the GBS and is some form of military aircraft celebrating the changeover of the head of the Royal Australian Air Force.
