In fact the aged bodies were mainly displayed on the next track uphill from the haunt of Swift Parrots. T1 was spotted doing timekeeping duties while I waddled along.
Before the start I had noted a tree up towards the former hoppers site containing approximately 25 King Parrots. After my athletic endeavours I attended the flowering gum and eventually
spotted 4 Swift Parrots feeding high in the blossom until they were eventually displaced by some Noisy Miners.
On the subject of Noisy Miners I wonder if anyone has studied whether their movement into areas is correlated with the removal of understorey in the name of Hazard Reduction burns? My
recollection is that the Miners do not normally frequent areas with a good shrub layer.
