With all the excitement at the Arboretum, I’ve been wondering if the White-fronted Chats are still at Stromlo Forest Park.

A 70 minute search this morning in their usual places in the open areas around the car parks etc failed to find them (or for that matter Flame Robins or even Pipits/Skylarks) despite the excellent viewing conditions  The main activity was more than 75 Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos with still some begging young in the reveg? between the facility and the building sites.

Has anyone seen the chats there lately – they could still be present but there now seems to be much more typical habitat for them.
