I have had to get the police to block the Tugg Parkway so I could rescue a Wood
Duck and her ducklings trapped against the central concrete barrier - one of
the police officer even assisted in grabbing the ducklings. The police turned
up pretty quickly after the call - a second car even turned just as we had
finished.

Swiss police block the main motorway between Bern and Lucerne for about five
minutes to allow a family of ducklings to cross the road. You can see them just
in front of the Audi in the centre lane.
