Being the closest ( about 600 metres ) and a regular observer I will make a
guesstimate of about 90 mammals including gliders, ringtail and brush tail
possums plus several birds calculated on a kill every two nights for six
months. The field guides provide information that a pair of powerful owls
occupy a territory of 30 square kms so the hunting range is far beyond the ANBG
and it has been recorded heading for Black Mountain at dusk. Perhaps one of our
resident owl experts can be forthcoming on this query Elisabeth. Regards to
all T2.
