A delightful sunny day for birds and for me – 36 species over 3.5 hours from 9.45am, along the northern fence line for about 1.5km and return. A lot of waiting brought good luck.

Notables included a flock of about 12 Red Wattlebird heading off towards Duffy from the hill, probably to warmer climes.  Approximately 10 very noisy and active Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos , one Hobby in a hurry and small feeding flocks.

Apart from the more common birds, 1 Speckled Warbler, 1 Diamond Firetail, 4 Scarlet Robin, Yellow-rumped, Buff-rumped, Striated and Brown Thornbill, Superb Fairy Wren, Grey Shrike Thrush, 1 Tawny Frogmouth, 1 juvenile Golden Whistler, Red-browed Finch, 1 White-browed Scrubwren, Willie Wagtail, 1 White-faced Heron, 1 Straw-necked Ibis and Laughing Kookaburra.
