Two unexpected sightings on a cold but sunny walk down Newline Lane yesterday morning were good views of a Southern Whiteface by the concrete works, in a loose flock of Superb Fairy-wrens, Weebills and White-plumed Honeyeaters (but no thornbills) – and a pair of White-bellied Sea-eagles, one adult and one juvenile, in the sky to the west, presumably over the Molonglo.  Not sure if they were within the requisite 500 m of Newline Lane, but at least they are an addition to my ACT list!
