Uriarra Crossing & Uriarra East plus the Uriarra Homestead Dam. Also endorse Warks Rd & nearby Blundells Ck Rd.

Can we nominate Warks Rd as a double-header?  Our favourite site for birding in the Brindabellas and the RFS favourite site for conflagrations.

Basically it is pathetic that:
  1. we only hear of this through Geoffrey's good offices (it should have been a front page story on the Canberra Times and lead the local news on the ABC): and
  2. they only have 5 entries - I am sure ANPS will have their own set of favourites  as will the Herps and Froggers and Orienteers and Mountain bikers etc etc

Parks and Conservation is preparing for its website examples of ‘favourite spots’ for various purposes, including birdwatching.  They would appreciate comments on particular parks/reserves with species of interest, seasonality etc.   I would probably nominate Jerra Wetlands, Callum Brae and Campbell Park.  Do others have favourites (with comments on species, seasonality etc)?  They are looking for a nominal ‘top five’ but it will probably turn out to be more open-ended, over time.  Comparisons are difficult.  For example I wouldn’t know how to compare Mulligans Flat vs Lake Ginn vs The Pinnacle, so I think it’s fairly top-of-head.
