Parks and Conservation is preparing for its website examples of ‘favourite spots’ for various purposes, including birdwatching. They would appreciate comments on particular parks/reserves with species of interest, seasonality etc. I would probably nominate Jerra Wetlands, Callum Brae and Campbell Park. Do others have favourites (with comments on species, seasonality etc)? They are looking for a nominal ‘top five’ but it will probably turn out to be more open-ended, over time. Comparisons are difficult. For example I wouldn’t know how to compare Mulligans Flat vs Lake Ginn vs The Pinnacle, so I think it’s fairly top-of-head.
