Yesterday, from 10;45--11.45am, hundreds, thousands of honeyeaters coming from
the direction of Hume, across the paddock and over Bayside Drive,
Jerrabomberra. They had often stopped on the poplars and willows some distance
away. They flew at varying heights, and very fast. Only a few stopped,
briefly near us. Geoffrey estimated about 300--400 in 10 minutes. Our
counting was about the same. They just kept coming--a marvellous sight
