Nice, you just helped me probably identify a raptor I saw in the area of two WBSEs (https://www.flickr.com/photos/purecaffeine/16863424257/) with similar dark markings near South Durras on the weekend.

Good morning all

Can I have your thoughts on an ID for this bird, please. It was over the ocean, just off the beach, at Mollymook on Monday. I thought the markings looked like a Whistling Kite, but I've had a wise-sounding suggestion that it could be a juvenile White-Bellied Sea Eagle (the location certainly fits for a Sea Eagle).
