15 COG members and the Doerr family camped on the Doerr's conservation property near Holbrook. A few showers, but no serious inconvenience, and better weather than the forecast suggested. The birding was excellent (63 species on the property, 105 total for the trip), including striped honeyeater, yellow-tufted honeyeater, white-browed babbler, scarlet robin, speckled warbler, wedge-tailed eagle, little friarbird, crested shrike-tit, owlet-nightjar, brown treecreeper, diamond firetail, red-capped robin within walking distance of campsite.
Outings were to Woomargama NP, the Talmalmo TSR and Morgans Lookout - the first not as well-explored as we'd planned, because of very extensive recent controlled burning. IN summary - good company, excellent birds and a very safe and pleasant place to camp. For more details see the more extensive trip report when May Gang-gang is published. Our bird lists for property and trip available if you're interested.
